Hublot and Ferrari

It is not the first time that Hublot and Ferrari are joining their forces to produce nice concept – limited edition watches. Hublot designed couple of these masterpieces over the last years and every one of them are pieces that demand admiration. This one is inspired from the latest Ferrari hyper-car, LaFerrari (an amazing car with the stupidest name ever). It is not the most beautiful nor has the prestige of the previous ones but for sure is the most mechanical complicated of them all!

It is 100% designed, developed and produced by the Hublot Manufacture engineers and watchmakers of this well known Swiss company. Only 50 will produced. It is made from 637 individual parts, the black coating is made for titanium and because of the tourbillion mechanism the look is like a V shaped car engine.

At least the photos is food for the eye! Otherwise, the watch probably will have a market value comparable with the car is inspired from. And that means a lot…

Bell and Ross Aviation Collection

I love expensive items and especially watches! Of course, I cannot even thing of buying on of those as the cost it is at the 4 digit range and for a watch is extremely high for me! But despite that I can still admire the design, simplicity and perfection of the most favourable watch brand of mine. Bell and Ross! They just has updated their venerable Aviation Collection watches with three new pieces honoring the aircraft of yesteryear. The Airspeed, Climb and Heading watches, inspired by three common dials from inside the cockpit (out of the six main instruments that you want to visually fly a plane). All of them look amazing and sadly enough they are going to make only 999 pieces. Well, enjoy the picture!!!

Audi Exclusive

Colours, details, inspiration, leather, craftsmanship, handmade, fashion and quality! These are some words that I can use to describe this video from Audi! It seems that they are following the path of the super car factories. They started to produce interiors (and possible exteriors) specially tailored to the customer needs. In other words you have the ability to choose the colours, leather types and positions, metal surfaces, different finished and even specially designed parts. All of those in an extensive rate not just like the different packages supported already from the various vehicle types. A nice touch for a rapidly growing company… but for the big wallets out there! Too bad that this video is still on 360p resolution

How to make the largest ship

A timelapse of the construction of Maersk Line’s very first Triple-E vessel at the DSME shipyard in Okpo, Korea. The timelapse was produced by Discovery Channel and Maersk, and it consists of 50,000 photos taken over 3 months. If you want to learn more about this ship then have a look here. And in case you wondering when it will be the delivery date? It is only 86 days away! So, 28th of June it is!

Dyson – A Technology Company

What this blog has to do with vacuum cleaners, hand dryers and heaters? Well, actually nothing! But a good video is worth noticing no matter his origin! And this one is from Dyson. A British technology company founded in 1993 from the inventor James Dyson. So, what is all about in this video? Its about robots working together to produce their patented digital motor. Their precise movements look more like choreography rather than fixed predefined positions in space. Even the colours of the robots and movement speed variations (probably made like that only for the purpose of this video) help to form a good result

Actually their YouTube channel is full of great content demonstrating their tools, innovation and beautiful industrial design. If you pay a visit, prepare to watch lot of vacuum cleaners videos but the little bits of technology and engineering between them definitely worth the try. And here is a quickie about failure from James Dyson
