Ferrari 458 Speciale

As usual Ferrari produces some of the best super/hyper cars of the world and this is not an exception. The special edition Ferrari 458, the the Ferrari Speciale! What can I say about this car… maybe just the specs will be more than enough: “A dry weight of 1,290 kg (2,843 lbs) and can perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just three seconds, while 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) takes 9.1 seconds. The Speciale has managed to lap the Fiorano test track in 1 minute 23.5 seconds, making it 1.5s quicker than the 458 Italia”. Simply amazing!!!

The Audi movie 2013

A very well made video from Audio. They call it a “movie” as it is something like a year review of what they have made and what they are willing to do. Something like we are already watching, and participating somehow! Without a doubt it worth to spend almost three minutes of your time for it

Making a Halo Needler Gun

I am not a huge Halo fun and in general I am not even a game player either! Before you make any assumptions I have to declare that I was playing video games (both on consoles and PCs) but I’ve never been into it! That been said, I am posting here a video from Tested describing the creation process of a Needler gun from Halo Reach. The creator, or maker if you preferred like that, is Harrison Krix from Volpin Props. Of course, the Needler it’s a prop and not a real weapon but the making process and the amound of detail is worth mentioning. It took almost a year to build, lot of detailing, molding, weathering and… patience!

Phonebloks: A promising concept

Well, this is a very promising concept! As they are saying at the intro: “A phone only lasts a couple of years before it breaks or becomes obsolete. Although it’s often just one part which killed it we throw everything away since it’s almost impossible to repair or upgrade”. They are so true about that but it is mostly the one side of the story. Most users (especially at the smart phone era) they are not waiting their phone to brake in order to bye a new one. They are just consuming more and more just because a newly introduced phone has slightly more memory and better package. Sorry, but this is the ugly truth!

iPhone 5c manufacturing

“iPhone 5c is beautifully, unapologetically plastic”… OK, Apple! Whatever you say! Basically I am posting this video because from 1:33 to 2:20 it shows manufacturing processes that worth attention. Of course, the video is well made (normal for Apple) and the phone will shell millions of units!

Astrium: Astra Satellites

In November 2009, Astrium was selected by global satellite operator SES S.A. to deliver four new communications satellites. The satellites, to be designated Astra 2E, Astra 2F, Astra 2G and Astra 5B, are scheduled for launch in several steps between 2012 and 2014. These satellites will be built on a Eurostar E3000 platform, the latest version of Astrium’s Eurostar series which has proven to be highly reliable in commercial service. The design life of each satellite is 15 years. The video is a little bit borings (and combined with not the best music selection) but includes a wide variety of high tech shots!
