Project Soli

Project Soli is developing a new interaction sensor using radar technology. The sensor can track sub-millimeter motions at high speed and accuracy. It fits onto a chip, can be produced at scale and built into small devices and everyday objects

I like this. Maybe I can get rid of my mouse. ?

Maybe it can be used to dive inside of us and do some repairs.

Now thinking of a Hand operated remotely, doing tiny gestures! Screw, unscrew etc…

    nice!

This tech would eliminate game controllers and key bords, I can see this leading to VR applications and no doubt a few years from now we will have holo decks like on Star Trek.

As well this could eliminate the need for machinists having to manually make adjustments to their DRO read outs, as well being able to make precision adjustments for machining without even touching the dial indicators!

Also could this possibly be used to view the world for the blind?
Could this be used to see at night giving digital representations of the real world.
Don a headset and turn on your radar system:>)
I think the possibilities are endless for this.

Would it be possible to write a software program in where you could use these to identify the difference between those who should be in the given area and those who should not be a given area.
Then as well create some sort of tag for identification and a program to run it.
    Just putting ideas out there.

Another idea. As silly as it sounds could a system be built around the radar chip so that one can have a wearable personal radar system.
With today’s tech one could have a view able monitor that could pick up movement.
Combine that with tags for friendlies and you can see friend from foe.
If such a system could be created.
